Privacy Policy

Introduction
Welcome to Customer Health Compass. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Customer Health Compass core library ("the Library") handles your information when you use our "On-Premises" version.
Information We Process
The fundamental principle of the "On-Premises" version of our Library is that your data stays within your Google Sheet. We do not collect, store, access, or transmit your spreadsheet data to our servers or any third-party services.
- Google Sheet Data: The Library requests permission to read from and write to your current Google Sheet only. This permission is used exclusively to perform calculations (like customer health scores) and write the results back into your designated sheets (e.g., "Historical Health Score"). Your financial and customer data is never sent to us.
- User Information: To verify your "Pro" license status, the Library requests permission to view your Google Account email address. This is the only piece of personal information the Library directly accesses.
How We Use Information
- To Provide the Service: We use the access to your sheet solely to run the calculations you initiate through the Library's menu functions. The logic operates entirely within your Google Workspace environment.
- For License Activation: When you activate a license key, your email address is sent as an "instance identifier" along with the key to our license provider (Lemon Squeezy) to validate the purchase and prevent abuse. This is a one-time operation during activation. Please refer to the Lemon Squeezy Privacy Policy for how they handle this data.
Data Storage
The Library utilizes Google's built-in `PropertiesService` to store your license activation status ('PRO' or 'FREE'). This information is stored securely within your own Google Account's private storage, scoped specifically to this Library, and is not accessible by us.
Third-Party Services
We use **Lemon Squeezy** as our Merchant of Record to process payments and manage license keys. When you click the "Purchase" button, you are redirected to their platform. Any information you provide during the purchase process is governed by their privacy policy.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, transfer, or disclose your Google user data with any third parties, except as described below:
- License Activation: During the one-time license activation process, your email address is shared with Lemon Squeezy solely for the purpose of validating your license key and preventing abuse.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
Data Protection Mechanisms
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your sensitive data:
- On-Premises Architecture: Your spreadsheet data never leaves your Google Workspace environment. All calculations and processing occur locally within your Google Sheet.
- Google Security Infrastructure: Your data is protected by Google's robust security infrastructure, including encryption in transit and at rest.
- Minimal Data Access: The Library only accesses the specific data required to perform the functions you initiate, and this access is limited to your current Google Sheet.
- Secure Storage: License activation status is stored securely using Google's PropertiesService, which provides encrypted storage within your Google Account.
Data Retention and Deletion
We follow strict data retention and deletion practices:
- Google Sheet Data: Your spreadsheet data remains under your complete control. You can delete your data at any time by removing the Library or deleting your Google Sheet.
- License Information: License activation status stored in PropertiesService is retained for as long as you use the Library. When you uninstall the Library, this information is automatically deleted.
- Email Address: Your email address is only used during license activation and is not stored by us. Lemon Squeezy retains purchase information according to their privacy policy.
- User Control: You have full control over your data. To completely remove all traces of the Library, you can uninstall it from your Google Workspace, which will delete all associated data stored by the Library.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
